We definitely made the right choice.Myself and partner bought our property with the help of SGM. As with any big financial expense we wanted to make sure we had the best independent advice and expertise. After doing a lot of research we chose SGM Abogados as they had lots of positive reviews and recommendations from previous clients.I can say we definitely made the right choice the legal work was done very efficiently and professionally with great communication all the way through the process.Once we had the power of attorney done, Maria at SGM took care of everything from our NIE numbers through to the completion of our house making sure all the correct paperwork was in order, and any queries were dealt with promptly.They set up all our direct debits for utilities etc and also remind us and take care of our Non residents tax returns annually. Totally effortless.We can’t recommend SGM highly enough. They took all the stress out of buying our first property in Spain.

Highly recommend SGM and Charlotte.SGM were introduced to us by our Real Estate Agent in Quesada, they have been fantastic sorting all the legal stuff we were clueless about, for the purchase of our Villa. They had Power Of Attorney to do all the necessary paperwork so that we didn’t have to travel backwards and forwards to Spain every few weeks. The POA meant that we didn’t have to sort out flights and accommodation every few weeks and we recommend that you seriously consider using this service. Our NIE, the Notary, electricity company, gas and water were all sorted by them too, all we had to do was the occasional email to confirm a few details.The SGM team and particularly Charlotte who was dealing with us were very professional and would keep us up to date all the way through the process. We would highly recommend SGM and I know we will be using their services again in the future.

We actually had to do very little ourselves.We definitely recommend SGM Abogados. We used them for our villa purchase in May 2020 and were very pleased with the service, even during working from home due to COVID-19. They don’t just do property or tax law, so we will use them again for some more help like Spanish Wills and Convenio. Their offices in Benijofar are smart and there are quite a few staff, which inspires confidence, and we even got coffee at our first meeting. The staff act professionally and knew exactly what they were doing. Usefully, they speak English as well as Spanish. They were good at telling us everything we needed to know or do and we left the rest of it up to them. We actually had to do very little ourselves and for the final stage at the Notary office our SGM lady acted as interpreter too.”

Er werd ons voor de administratieve molen SGM Abogados aanbevolen en wij hebben er nog geen seconde spijt van gehad . Zowel de afhandeling ter plaatse als de correspondentie daarna vanuit Belgie verloopt perfect . Alles wordt tot in de details uitgelegd en het verloopt daarna inderdaad zoals gepland . Afspraken met notaris, bouwheer, bank, noem maar op, alles wordt door SGM perfect opgevolgd en afgehandeld . E-mails met vragen worden quasi onmiddellijkl beantwoord. Charlotte at SGM, what a God Send.We found a property with our estate agent who put us in contact with Charlotte as SGM Legal. What a God send. She took us hand in hand through the process. Organised all our services, banking etc with clear explanation of each and every step. We really could not have done it without her. It is a daunting process, especially as not being able to speak Spanish (yet) but with Charlotte’s help. Our emails were answered very quickly, answering all our questions patiently and fully. I cannot recommend their services highly enough. Even after our purchase was complete Charlotte has been on hand to help us with questions. Thank you

It was a pleasure doing business with them.We were very satisfied with the assistance of Citrine Real Estate in finding us a house in Spain.Since we did not have an attorney, she recommended SGM Abogados to help us with the legal documents. They were also very friendly and professional, they even had all the documentation in Dutch and all prices were very transparent and reasonable. Their service did not end as soon as we had closed the sale, we needed a locksmith and they found one for us the same day we asked.It was a pleasure doing business with them both.

Once we decidedon our purchase, the whole process took from the beginning of May to the 17th June to finalise. We are very impressed with the efficient service from SGM Legal. Ideally, if purchasing a property I would recommend setting up a NIE number, bank account and an appointment with SGM Legal while in Spain, although we did manage everything through emails and post in the space of a few weeks. Silvia and Maria from SGM Legal were also very professional and kept us right with all the legal aspects including expenses, utilities etc .Kind regards Laura
