I highly recommend this firm. Debbie was a total godsend and has been the most helpful lawyer/legal counsel we have had during our residency process. I’ve gone through other firms previously and was absolutely lost and confused. However, I sought advice from Debbie and was quickly given all of the right information. When it came time to start the process for our application, Debbie ensured that everything was laid out in a clear plan and guided us every step along the way. She is very knowledgeable and also an absolute delight to speak to. I contacted Debbie at Malaga Legal because she was highly recommended on a Facebook group I was a part of. I messaged her on WhatsApp, and she replied in a timely manner. I gave her a synopsis of my situation and asked her some visa-specific questions, which she answered professionally. At a certain point, she indicated I would need to pay a consultation fee if I wanted to move further, which was understandable and reasonable. She told me the consultation fee was “80 Euros plus IVA.” I’m an American, I currently know very little Spanish, and I’ve never paid for a service in Spain before, so I wasn’t sure exactly what “IVA” meant. So I asked her “What’s IVA?” And she replied, “Joe, I'm worried you have no knowledge at all of Spain!!! Are you sure you want to come here. It's no holiday resort. It's a high tax country. IVA is like VAT and is charged on all services at 21%” Which I found to be extremely rude, unprofessional, and unwarranted. I simply didn’t know the Spanish language acronym for VAT, which certainly doesn’t mean anything beyond that. When I told her as much, she responded, “I'm concerned that you don't want to go back to the states but have an idea that Spain is more fun than it really is. We get loads of Americans having an almighty shock here. I shouldn't have said that though. It wasn't nice.” Okay, she apologized, so better than no apology, but this is still absolutely no way for her to treat someone who only communicated with her politely and respectfully. I sent her long but respectful reply detailing why her assumptions were misguided, and she never responded. She gets two stars for starting the conversation professionally and apologizing for her offensive comments.

I was very impressed by how quick and easy Málaga Legal was able to make Spanish bureaucracy look! Debbie was extremely friendly, professional, and wonderfully efficient at organizing getting my TIE. Highly recommend!

Not only are you knowledgeable about all the processes here in Spain but you explain it so well to people (like me) that are constantly confused and baffled about how it all works here. The lengths you went to to help me were honestly so appreciated and I ended up feeling like we'd been friends for years lol! Special mention to Jose too who helped me so much at the drop of a hat and continued to help me (past working hours too). You all have hearts of gold and if anyone is doubt with which company to go to for help, there should be no hesitation at all when it comes to working with these amazing people!
