I hired this lawyer for a residency application. After the first meeting (where he asked me to put a google review, and later asked one on linkedin and facebook, even before doing anything for me), it became very hard to reach him - he rarely replied to messages or emails unless I called. He did submit the application, but with mistakes (even in my name), and the guidance I was promised ended up being the document on the official site of the extranjería (which I already knew). The price was lower than others, but later I was asked to pay another €100 just to learn how to get the physical card, something I easily did myself after calling extranjería. In the end, he mainly submitted the documents, which I probably could have done on my own. I wouldn’t recommend him but eventually I did get the residency.

El abogado que mas reseñas tiene, pero por que exige que los clientes le hagan reseñas, antes de haber gestionado nada. Y eso es lo que se dedica a hacer. NADA. NO sabe gestionar nada, sólo se encarga de pedir mucho dinero antes de comenzar pero cuando tiene que hacer, no resuelve ni hace su labor. Pero mientras él exige "hazme una reseña", y "hazme una reseña". Pero cuando la gente ve el comportamiento suyo, ya está la reseña hecha como de un buen abogado, cuando no lo es. Y Economista, pues sólo para su cuenta personal, pues sólo pide y pide dinero antes de hacer nada. Y no poco dinero. Después a la hora de hablar con él, siempre está tan ocupado, que sólo tiene dos minutos para hablar por telefono. Ni responde SMS, ni responde Whatsapps, ni responde e_mails.......NADA. Tampoco cuando se le exige factura para justificación de pagos, tampoco las hace aunque se lo pidas 3000 veces. En cambio, si quiere el las reseñas, de inmediato. Claro, hay que dar las reseñas a su favor, antes de conocer lo malísimamente que actúa y hace sus funciones.

DO NOT come to this person for your residencia renewal. I trusted him with my renewal back in September 2024 and he submitted my renewal application 70 days before my residence permit expired, which is beyond the 60-day limit permitted by the Spanish Law. When asked, he replied, “The office won’t care. It doesn’t matter.” Obviously it mattered because a month later, I got a letter from Oficina de Extranjería saying that my application’s status was ‘INADMITIR A TRAMITE’ because the application was presented outside the allowed time window of submission. I ended up doing the renewal by myself and happy to say that I finally picked up my new TIE just in time for the holiday. Be extremely aware as this person carry disregard to the Spanish Law when it comes to residence permit renewal. A waste of €200 fee that he charged.

After being recommended to Jose regarding my NLV denial at Manchester consulate due to convictions from 20+ years ago, I instructed him to appeal the decision on my behalf. He prepared and submitted the appeal on Wednesday and told me to expect a 3-5 month waiting for a decision. The appeal was extremely well written and clearly a very strong mitigation. Just 48 hours later Manchester consulate emailed to tell me the appeal was granted and to go and collect my visa. Jose was very professional throughout our conversations and managed my expectations on the process and what to expect. The cost for his services were very competitive too. All of these have been dealt with effectively and efficiently. It is a great help that Jose Maria speaks English, his costs are also reasonable. He has a great knowledge of Spanish processes and, very importantly here in Spain, has great contacts within the Spanish offices. I've used José for tax purposes mostly, residential queries and will also be sourcing his services for property in the near future. He speaks English, is very prompt with his responses and keeps them very precise, so not to confuse situations. If he doesn't have the answer immediately whilst conversing, he takes to time to find out the relevant and correct information in a timely fashion. Definitely recommend José!!

José María has helped us with various tasks and has been most friendly and professional, and we have found him to be very efficient.

When I first arrived in Spain there was so much bureaucracy involved: registering myself in the social security service and then as a freelancer in the tax agency, producing the first invoices (should I add VAT? How much?), doing the first yearly tax declaration and what not. Since we didn't even speak the language - we didn't know where to start. Luckily I found some recommendations for Jose in an Facebook expats group and contacted him. After a few video calls and Emails (in English!) everything was setup. Since then I've been using his services and am really happy.

A big waste of time. I was told that I’d have a solution & at the end, there was no reasonable solution. I am really disappointed by the outcome and would not recommend.
