We have dealt with Fontanals Solicitors for more than 20 years, firstly through their office in Torrevieja, and then in later years, their office in Lo Marabú, Rojales. I have no hesitation what so ever in recommending this firm of Solicitors. They have looked after us exceptionally well in all our dealing with them over the many years we have been with them. They advised us on important and essential matters such as Wills, Power of Attorney etc. Ensured things like our Non-Residence Tax and Suma bills were dealt with in a timely manner. All this was very important to us as we were non Spanish speaking and did not live in Spain full time. Whenever I have contacted them, be it by phone or email I’ve always received a prompt response. They have also dealt with several property purchases and sales for us over the years and each time things have gone smoothly and without problems due to their professionalism and experience. In fact, we trusted them to such an extent that I gave them full Power of Attorney in order that they could deal with all matters on my behalf, including access to our bank account. This proved very useful upon the death of my wife as they were able to deal with all the legal formalities on my behalf without me being present. Finally, when the day came to sell up and say good bye to Spain Laura was outstanding, she made things so stress free for me, dealing with all the formalities of the sale as well as ensuring all utility and insurance accounts were closed and finally, closing the bank account. So, thank you Laura, for taking care of everything for me and for your excellent work, it is very much appreciated.

Yovanna has been brilliant with all our annual tax returns. Irene, what can I say, she has been fantastic. We bought our house in 2016 and Irene has managed our sale this year in 2023. From working with us, the purchaser and their representatives, to Notary attendance and transfer of our money etc, she has been professional and excellent in the way she managed things on our behalf. We used Fontanals to purchase our apartment, after making enquiries, I found it would be quicker to be in Spain to do this instead of the UK, Noelia of Fontanals, arranged everything for me with a day of appointments, I left my house in the UK at 03.00 and was back home at 19.30 the same day, flight, Notary for the Spanish will and arrange NEI registration, Bank for DD, back to airport with time to spare before the flight home, the timed appointments were made possible through the cooperation arranged by Noelia with the notary and the bank, I really cannot praise Fontanals enough, especially Noelia, if you looking to purchase in Spain, I would not look anywhere else. The best bit of all as all buyers want. from agreeing to purchase to ownership paperwork given to me two Months, it took nearly 9 months in the uk to sell the flat I owned, lazy UK solicitors.
